 | We are pleased to announce that Galerie Richard is now the France and US representative for German artist Sven-Ole FRAHM. Galerie Richard Paris has been representing the artist since 2007. Sven-Ole FRAHM started to cut out painted canvases and to sew them together. He develops a new role to the canvas as a material to replace the pictorial paint gesture. His works are also distinctive by the quality of their compositions which allow him to experiment new expressive ways and combinations. |

Born in a small town overlooking a tributary of the Yangtze River, Yang Yi will see his hometown completely submerged in 2009 due to the project of the Tree Gorges Dam which has displaced over 1.2 millions people and destroyed 11 cities. Using both photography and digital techniques, the images of YANG Yi extend life of its city and his inhabitants in a submarine universe by giving them a visible disturbing truthfulness. |
