Sven-Ole FRAHM

The title suggests that the artist highlights the materiality of his paintings with the textures of sewn canvas. It superimposes spaces by drilling the canvas and superimposing them. It adds spaces of light reflected from the colored paint on the outline of the circle at the back of the canvas. We must add the «implants» of wood inserted in sewn canvas pockets.

Sven-Ole FRAHM’s works are distinguished by the perfect balance of their compositions.

Born in 1972, Sven-Ole FRAHM lives in Berlin.He graduated from the Düsseldorf Art Academy in 2001. He was awarded the prestigious Prize of the Villa Romana in Florence in 2001, the Bergischer Kunst Prize in painting at the Museum of Modern Art in Solingen in 2006. His works are in the collections of the Société Générale. He regularly exhibits in the major cultural capitals of Europe and in New York.
